The Learning Hours (How To Date A Douchebag #3) By: Sara Ney

I just want to start off by sending a huge thank you to Sara and the Inkslinger team for getting an arc of this pretty sent out to me. Ya'll rock.

He's not a douchebag; but that doesn't stop his friends from turning him into one.

MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID.

So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters:

Are you the lucky lady who's going to break our roommate's cherry?
Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have a pulse. He will reciprakate with oral. Text him at: 555-254-5551

The morons can't even spell. And the texts I've been receiving are what wet dreams are made of. But I'm not like these douchebags, no matter how hard they try to turn me into one.

THIS ISN'T THE KIND OF ATTENTION I WANT.

One text stands out from hundreds. One number I can't bring myself to block. She seems different. Hotter, even in black and white.

However, after seeing her in person, I know she's not the girl for me. But my friends won't let up--they just don't get it. Douchebags or not, there's one thing they'll never understand: GIRLS DON'T WANT ME.

Especially her.

So let's talk The Learning Hours.

This book was not in the least what I was expecting.
Not in bad way. Just different.

I liked how Sara decided to flip the script on this book. She changed up the MO of the super hot douchebag guy. and have us a sassy super hot douchebag girl.

And I found that so extremely fun. It's such a change to have a sort of naive sweet guy paired up with an experienced sort of jerk of a girl.

Like I found Rhett so freaking adorable. He's just so sweet and caring. And so so lost. It was so cute omg haha.

But I just love how no matter what any of his friends do to him. Or how rude and adolescent they are he just blows them off and doesn't let them truly bother him. And let me tell you. his friends are jerks. Like really big douchehole jerks.

But Rhett is for real a diamond in a bag of rocks. He's just special. And the French. Dear sweet baby Jesus on a mother pucking cracker. *Swoon

And then there's Laurel.

I'm still on the fence about this girl. I liked her pretty well for most of the book. She's smart as a whip, funny, a bit arrogant, and liked how assertive she was.

But there was just something about her that didn't set well with me either at one point. Something I couldn't even pinpoint. So obviously it isn't that big of a deal haha.

But this book was just as funny and flirty and filled with douchebaggery and I loved every page of it truly.

I give THE LEARNING HOURS

Too Beautiful To Break (Romancing The Clarksons #4) By: Tessa Bailey

I need to give a huge thank you to Forever Romance for sending me out an ARC copy of this beauty for review. I absolutely FLOVE Tessa Bailey and her amazing books, and I was so freaking excited to finally get Belmont and Sage's book. I feel like I've been waiting forever for it haha.

I also got to meet Tessa again this past weekend at Shameless Book Con 2017

And ya'll!! She is such an amazing person. I loved getting to talk Belmont and the whole Clarkson gang with her.

A love of a lifetime . . .

Leaving Belmont Clarkson is the hardest thing Sage Alexander has ever done. From the moment they met, she knew Belmont was the one, and getting up close and personal with him on his family's epic road trip has taken her desire to a new, even hotter level. But there's no way she can go there---not without revealing secrets that could devastate them both.

Losing Sage is not an option. Belmont's heart is hers, has always been hers. He knows she's hiding something from him, but nothing will stand in his way of telling her just how much she means to him. Finding her is easy---saving her from her past could cost him everything.

It's so funny. I absolutely love Tessa Bailey's books. But like the others in this series I always struggle to start them, get past the first 2 chapters, and can't seem to put the book down unless I absolutely have to.

But the stories she writes just have the best way of pulling you in. She gives us such multi dimensional characters that you can't help but wanting to pull for, or feel sympathy or anger at. They evoke so many emotions as they go through their journey, and this book did that exact thing.

I found myself so invested in Belmont and Sage and honestly was back earlier in the series, so finally seeing what was to come between them had me all excited bookworm.

They're just two characters that have such a unique bond. And the way the feed off each other and support one another had me intrigued. It was such a weird relationship. And almost unhealthy yet just totally gives you so many feels. And to see how that dynamic could change and grow was one of my favorite parts of this book.

Plus there's the underlying sense of overcoming ones fears. facing them head on. And learning to let others be there and support you too. But without losing yourself in that support. But knowing someone will be there to have your back.

Plus I just love Belmont and Sage's relationship. they are so fudging cute together. And I love the building tension that radiated through this book between them. It was almost palpable even as the reader to pick up on. And while frustrating to just wait and wait. it made for a great ending to the book.

And let me just talk about the big baddy in this book. He's the kinda bad guy you just want to go pick up a big encyclopedia and wack over the head with. I mean honestly.... I hated the guy. But I think that goes a long way to show just how good Tessa's writing is. That she can give us such complex characters (Even a bad guy)

This book was just so so good. And I can't even begin to tell y'all to go snap up a copy as soon as it releases. It's so worth it.

Game On (Hometown Player #6) By: Victoria Denault

First off, I need to send a huge shot out to Forever Romance for sending out the ARC to this one. y'all rock, and I can't thank you enough.

When it comes to scoring in the pro hockey league, Alex Larue is crushing it-with the hot puck bunnies. He's the life of the party, the guy with all the jokes . . . and the one whose Party Guy mask keeps the real him well hidden. The last thing he needs is anyone finding out about his troubled past, or the nightmares that haunt him still.

Brie Bennett is less than impressed by Alex from the moment she meets him. And even though he insists on volunteering at the charity she runs, she doesn't trust him. He's hiding something...but so is she. She's not just the rich, privileged New York princess he thinks she is. The animosity between them is undeniably addictive and as their worlds keep colliding it becomes supercharged with something else - attraction. But if they stop playing games and let each other in, they both might lose.

So let's get into this review shall we?

I have to admit that this is the first book from Victoria's Hometown Players series I've read (yes I know. Bad bad me. But let me tell you. I want them all now. I fell in love with these guys and I want to see all the stories I've been missing out on)

But this book had almost everything I look for in a good sports romance. (I could have maybe used a bit more actual hockey in it. But Victoria did good incorporating at least some of the sport. So we weren't left with one of those "sports romances" that's just about an athlete with none of the actual sports going on. If that makes sense haha)

But any who. We got the sports, the brooding hockey player, some sexy time, and a whole bunch of other stuff I won't say here so I don't spoil anything for ya'll. And it just all worked so well together to create a great story.

I loved seeing the journey that Brie and Alex went on during this book. Both characters met in the funniest way. And then the build up between them was super interesting and even a bit touching at times. They both had such sad pasts, and to see how it shaped them and made them who they are was quite beautiful and heartbreaking to read.

Here we have Alex. This big tough hockey player, who's always starting crap with other teams during games. And when you see him off the ice he's a completely different person. Much more reserved and funny. Definitely a playboy of sorts. But he also has the kindest heart. And you can't help but feel a little sad for him at how he came to be like that. But also amazed by how much he's overcome and turned his life I to something so successful and awesome.

And then there's Brie. You can't help but not like her. She's feisty and strong willed. And seriously has a heart of gold and a passion not many people have in their lives. She doesn't take anything life has given her for granted. And takes no crap. Including that dished out from a certain broody hockey hunk.
She was down to earth and funny. And not afraid to put someone in their place when they needed it (cough cough Alex hehe)

Plus Victoria just touches on a subject that I think we need to see more of out there. And she writes it in a way that makes you not just feel sorry about it. But want to get out and go help. To make a difference much the same way the characters are.
Honestly she touches on a couple different things. And I'm glad she did. We need more authors who aren't afraid to get into the stuff society sees as things we need to be hush hush about and pretends like it doesn't happen.

I really truly enjoyed this book. And hope ya'll pick up a copy when it releases.

Wolf Surrender (Wolf Cove #4) By: Nina West

I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for this book to finally be here.... It was bad enough that I put all my ARC's on hold this week, just so I could dive in.

*The Wolf Cove series has absolutely NO paranormal elements in it. It’s an erotic romance, heavy on the erotic.*

Abbi Mitchell has battled her family and won. She finally has what she wants most—Henry Wolf, committed to her and within arm’s reach most nights.
But now she must face his family.
In the wake of tragedy, Abbi and Henry travel to New York to sort out his father’s affairs. What should be straightforward and quick turns out to be anything but, as a vindictive brother angles for more than his fair share, putting Henry and Abbi to the test.
WOLF SURRENDER is the stunning conclusion to the sexy, addictive Wolf Cove Series, and should be read after WOLF BAIT, WOLF BITE, and WOLF PREY.

This series is one of those that took me a bit to jump into.
I honestly though it was a paranormal shifter book at first glance, and it wasn't until I jumped on Wolf Bait since it was free that I finally read the description and jumped in.

And oh man was I wrong. This book is all the makings of a set CEO series. But also it's own new spin on things. and how shall I put it.... A bit more risque than books I typically read. (Although I didn't know it was gonna be that way until well into book 2)
But I found myself quite surprised by how much I loved these books.
I mean they have amazing story lines, and we'll developed characters.
But there's a lot of sexy time stuff I was not expecting and actually probably wouldn't have thought I would have liked to read, if I would have known just what I was getting into. So stepping outside my comfort zone was actually kinda interesting. It gave me a new perspective of types if books that I may or may not enjoy.

But overall this book was just the best way I could tho k to see this series and (at least I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be the end)

It wrapped up tho t's quite nicely, not leaving any frayed edges or guessing after.

And it read as a very dynamic fast paced and thrilling romance.
Seriously! This book had a bit of it all at one point or another.

And don't even get me started on the characters.
I truly like Henry and Abbi. They complement each other really well. And even as dominating and hard as Henry is most of the time. I feel like we kinda got a new side to him this book. Nina really allowed his character to grow and change. And I love seeing that happen over a series.
Abbi did a lot of the same too though. She ended this book so different than when she started and I loved seeing that growth. And how her confidence and tiredness grew as wash installment passed.

Also, something I've enjoyed a lot about this series. I'd the great secondary characters.
I've loved Ronan from the start. He's just one of those characters that draws you in. And you just want so much more from him. And Conner too. Because let's face it. They kinda come as a package deal. I honestly want more of him. But not more prequel Ronan. I want present Ronan (and Conner. And I want that book now haha)

I also really enjoyed Margo's character. I remember in book 3 not really sure what to think of her. But I have to say she's grown on me. And really turned into a fun and reliable character.

All in all I have to say this book was pretty amazing. I blew though it fairly quickly. And enjoyed every page.
I just wish it was longer haha.

I give WOLF SURRENDER

Temporary By: Sarina Bowen & Sarah Mayberry

I need to send a huge thanks to Nina Bocci for sending the arc of this pretty out for review. you are a book goddess!!

The most beautiful man I've ever seen is the one who can ruin everything...

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he’ll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent and thousand dollar shoes, he’s just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants.

And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle’s estate.

I can’t afford either one. I’m the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system. He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful -- pure desperation. This temp job at his mother’s company can become a full time job for me. It has to.

But when Callan’s eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I’ve become.

And it works--if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can't afford to get sucked into his high-powered family’s treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can’t forget this is temporary. He’s temporary. I have too much to lose.

Too bad my foolish heart didn’t get the memo...

This book was so totally unexpected. And I mean that in such a good way too.

Sarina is one of those authors I pretty much love any book she writes, so I was game to see what her and Sarah came up with (even if this was my first experience with one of Sarah's books)

But immediately this story drew me in. I wasn't even planning on starting it yet. I have other Arc's that needed to be read much sooner. But in a stroke of boredom the other day I just happened to flip through the first couple pages.... and BOOM I was hooked haha.

And it's because of a few different reasons.
The story itself was so well written and such a great story line (even if a few parts were your typical romance book cliches)
If I didn't know it was so written before starting it. I never would have guessed two authors wrote this one either. The story was so cohesive and flows so well. And there was never a part where I questioned after who's writing was what. Because it all just blended so beautifully.

And it was also the characters these two came up with. Callan was dreamy steamy. and for a playboy .... He was also such an adorable sweetheart, one of those characters that has so many sides. And so much depth to him. Plus he's sexy Australian accent made for a fun read too. (Even if I made the mistake of watching master chef while I read, and had Gordon Ramsey's voice playing in my head for a bit haha)

I also loved Grace though.
And I know I'm one who never typically likes female leads and all that. But Grace was just a good character. She had just enough sass and gumption. But yet was still cautious and relatable. and I found myself cheering for her, or even moping with her.
She's one of those characters you easily jump into their shoes. And really get a good view of the story from their POV.

And I can't forget Olivia. That girl made me laugh. She's such a cute funny little character. And offered just that little extra oomph this book needed.

As I said. I really enjoyed this book. and found it fun and extremely sweet and cute, but also just has just that right touch of steamy.
I'm so glad I accidentally started it early because I truly loved this this book.

Twisted By Emily Rose Trailer Reveal

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to get to share the trailer reveal for Emily Rose's upcoming book TWISTED!
I think ya'll will just love this book. And I don't just say that because I'm her PA haha 😋😋

But I have been head over heels for Miles since Emily started writing him way back when, and finally seeing his story about to release makes me all sorts of happy.

Twisted doesn't have a set release date yet. But is tentatively set to arrive here before the end of the year. So be on the look out for more news, as dates get set and what not.
And I hope you enjoy the trailer!

For Miles Conrad, moving to Hampton, Georgia was a way to escape the darkness of his past.
Working as a bartender, he has family and the simple life he never had before.
But sometimes, the past doesn't want to stay where it belongs, especially when it comes to Reanna “Ray” Adams. She’s the girl he could never have. The girl he could only dream of having, yet the same girl who could get under his skin like nothing else.
And it seems that no matter how far he can run from everything that is Ray, it’ll never be far enough.
But things aren’t the same.
He has changed.
In a lot of ways.
But….
All it takes is one moment.
One twisted second…
To shatter everything.

I'll be honest, I'm not that interesting of a person. I live a crazy life in a small town, my boyfriend is a police officer, and I call my best friend/PA a Mini Sam Winchester, because she reminds me of him. I love writing, go figure, and I'm here for the fictional men, because who doesn't love those guys? Right!!?? Anyway, that about sums it up.

Oh, I guess I'm supposed to tell you all to follow me and buy my books, so there. I said it.

Most Of All You By: Mia Sheridan

Hey ya'll!! *Waves
I'm so excited to get to share my review of MOST OF ALL YOU with you guys today.
I need to send a huge thank you to Forever Romance for being so nice and sending an ARC copy over for review. Ya'll are amazing!!

I actually got a  chance to meet Mia here this past weekend at Shameless Book Con, and ya'll she is a total sweetheart. And put up with my gushing over this book haha. This story completely touched me, and I couldn't even get out how it made me feel when I tried talking to her. Totally mixed up character names and everything *Shrugs

But just know guys, she is an amazing person, and you are going to just adore this book, I know it!

A broken woman . . .

Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior, and carries within her a deep mistrust of men who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.

A man in need of help . . .

Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there’s an undeniable goodness about him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.

Only love can mend a shattered heart . . .

Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world that had stolen everything from them would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

I honestly don't even know what to say about this book.

it was just so beautiful. And freaking wrecked me to my soul.
It's one of those books that really does touch you so deeply. But yet you still just love it. Even all the pain and anguish these two characters experience. Because the story you get from that turns into something so incredibly amazing and beautiful.

I really wasn't sure how to feel about Ellie at first. She was a hard character to like for me. But I also think that was the point. I think I and even us as the reader aren't supposed to like her at first. Because Ellie doesn't even like herself. And that self anguish and worthlessness came over so strongly in Mia's writing. But also so does the way Ellie heals and begins to piece herself back together. You feel it all so strongly from her. And while I may not relate to Ellie like I do other female characters. I can empathize with her. And feel that from her.

And not just her but Gabe too. He's such a sweet and gentle soul, and I really liked that. He'd been through the proverbial ringer. And that man came out twice as strong as any man could could have, and probably would have broken from.
But he truly is one of those characters that has the sweetest side. And truly knows how to touch you. He radiates that love and care, and uses it to fix those around him. And I found it refreshing from the typical sure alpha type we get in books lately.
He was vulnerable. But he used that make himself better and want more from his life. And it brought him to Ellie. Even if she didn't think she was worth someone like Gabe.

The story is just one of those that will make you cry happy and sad tears. And want to reach in and hug the characters. To let them know they aren't alone. And that they can be fixed and put back together. And that love really does heal. And gahh!! I just loved this book so so much.

Even the supporting characters made the story. Yes there were problems at times. But they added so much depth to the story and gave you that sense of how much you need support and family. And I loved that this book had that. Proving you can't go through something alone all the time. That eventually those people, even if just through their strength. Give you the will to fix yourself. And I liked that too. While the characters helped each other. What it came down to was helping yourself. That nothing can fix you or better you, unless you want it. They can give you that helping start. But it's all up to you and your inner strength. And I think that's an amazing lesson to show.

I give MOST IF ALL YOU
